RuGBC Partners with the Annual Conference “Sustainable or ESG Construction: Designing Projects for the Future”

The Russian Green Building Council (RuGBC) proudly collaborated with the annual conference “Sustainable or ESG Construction: Designing Projects for the Future,” held online this year. RuGBC members played key roles as jury members, experts, moderators, and even contestants in the prestigious event, which has been held since 2016.

RuGBC Board Member and professor at the Moscow Architectural Institute also played an active role in the event, offering valuable insights and expertise. The professor praised the organizer, Ekaterina Kuznetsova, for her outstanding efforts in coordinating such a significant platform. The conference showcased an impressive range of projects presented from all parts of the Russian Federation, emphasizing the nationwide commitment to sustainability.

This conference has become a cornerstone for advancing sustainability in the built environment, featuring a highly competitive contest to identify the most sustainable offices, buildings, and hotels. This year, for the first time, the competition expanded to include construction companies, broadening its impact on the sector.

A shortlist of 35 outstanding contestants has emerged, and the eagerly awaited announcement of the winners will take place during a grand ceremony on December 16th in Krasnaya Polyana, Sochi.

Ekaterina Kuznetsova, the conference organizer, expressed her gratitude to RuGBC Chairman Guy Eames for his significant contributions as both a moderator and a member of the jury. “We couldn’t have done this without you!” she said, highlighting the invaluable expertise and support RuGBC brought to the event.

RuGBC’s active participation underscores its commitment to fostering sustainable practices and driving innovation in the construction industry. Stay tuned for the results and join us in celebrating the leaders of sustainable development!
