An Open call for master-planning Grozny is ongoing.
The competition was launched at the press conference in Grozny on March 29, 2023.

The action is supported by the Government of the Chechen Republic, Grozny Mayor Office and DOM.RF, a Russian federal government program operator for sustainable urban development. The competition is run by the Agency for Strategic Development «CENTER».
The Prize Pool is Rouble 20 Million.

The concepts should take into account the existing design code, cultural and historic heritage, as well as natural environment of the city. The evolution of Grozny is universally regarded as a pre-condition for the economic growth of the entire region, and its successful engagement with the international community. This is a major reason why architectural design teams and cross-sectoral pools of expertise specializing in UTP from all over the world are invited to put forward their ideas in UTP, to make the city inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.
Grozny in near future is a smart city, a center of excellence, a financial, commercial and industrial hub with strong ties to investors in the Caucasus, Central Asia and the Middle East.
Deadline for submission of applications is May 19.
